May 20, · For RV camping near Yosemite Valley, Indian Flat Campground is quite good. It has full water + electricity + sewer hookups. It’s also about a minute drive outside the park entrance, and I didn’t see any RV camping on that was closer, so TripAdvisor reviews.
If you plan to spend the night in your RV, you must be in a designated campsite–you can’t park in a parking lot or along the side of the road. You should make a reservation as early as possible. If you don’t have reservations, find out more about camping without reservations. Electrical, water, and sewer hookups are not available in Yosemite, although dump stations with fresh water are available at Upper Pines Campground all year , near Wawona Campground summer only , and near Tuolumne Meadows Campground summer only.
Generator use is allowed, but only between 7 am and 9 am, noon and 2 pm, and 5 pm to 7 pm. Generator use is not allowed at other times. In Yosemite Valley, the maximum RV length is 40 feet and maximum trailer length is 35 feet, however, only a total of 12 sites of this size are available six sites each in Lower Pines and North Pines, which are open spring through fall.

This RV park is among the best we have stayed in. Access is easy and the check in area had four spaces, three would accommodate any size RV. The check in was smooth and we found the staff to be great throughout our stay. Interior roads are tight but manageable.

Friday, February 5, Yosemite National Park: We chose to stay in Curry Village because of its excellent location—right in the Yosemite Valley, with beautiful views and close to many trailheads. Our cabin had electricity and came with two windows and an opening in the door, open to the outside but covered by a tarp. We had beds, pillows, sheets, blankets, and clean towels every day.
Unfortunately, I am just not into camping all that much.

This morning, I stopped by Dan’s apartment for one last batch of Email, stopped by a barber to get the hair out of my eyes, fueled up the truck, and then returned to hook up the trailer and head out of town. We drove straight up I-5, through the center of Los Angeles, which turned out to be no problem at all, and eventually turned off on SR 99 to Bakersfield. It is indeed an orange grove, although the wrong season to pick oranges. The trees were in full bloom, and the smell of orange blossoms was almost overpowering.
The whole place is somewhat ramshackle, but they try hard. The animals are almost entirely from the surrounding region. Several bobcats looked perfectly contented in their cage, dozing in the sun.
